NCUK London IFP

The NCUK International Foundation Year prepares you for studying at some of the world’s most prestigious pathways universities. In this course you are eased into university study with classroom teaching that is interactive and supportive. In this programme, you will get used to university-style teaching whilst building your abilities to study effectively through 24 hours of class teaching per weeks and regular personal tutorial sessions.

Studying three academic modules plus English for Academic Purposes will give you the knowledge you need in order to help meet your full potential. Our small classes and qualified teachers will work closely with you to make sure you get all the support you need to reach your potential.

International Foundation Year allows you to study core modules (common across all our International Foundation Year Programmes), and then tailor your learning by taking progression degree-related streams.

You will study Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and English for Academic Purposes (EAP) to help prepare you for first year entry to undergraduate degrees courses such as Medicine and Nursing. Assessments

You will be assessed during the program in a few ways:

  • Regular coursework –  this could include assignments, in class tests, and report writing
  • Mid-course and end-of-course examinations – formal examinations that we’ll help you prepare for
  • Your foundation results will be one of the key factors into which universities you will be able to progress to.

Enrollment Fee: £150.00 (mandatory and non-refundable)

Minimum English Language Level:

UKVI IELTS 5.0 with no subtest below 4.5
PTE for UKVI: 43 no subtest below 43

Academic Entry Requirements:

Academic Entry Requirements vary depending on where you studied. Please see the link for details for your country.

Minimum Age Requirement September intake:

16 years of age. Students must turn 17 by December 31 of the year of course commencement.

Minimum Age Requirement January intake:

17 years of age.

All students who pass are guaranteed a conditional place on a relevant undergraduate degree at an appropriate NCUK university. To gain entry to any NCUK university, you must pass all subject modules. You will also need to have a sufficient command of English. Please see the details on the NCUK guarantee here.

Some degree courses will require minimum grades in specific subjects. University admissions staff may also take into account previous academic attainment.
