Our teaching philosophy

At Malvern House, we focus on real-world communication. Our lessons help students develop fluency through role-plays, discussions, and practical exercises.

Key components of our teaching methodology

Our courses follow the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) to ensure students learn at a globally recognised standard.

Course levels:
  • A1-A2 (Beginner to Elementary) – Learn basic communication.
  • B1-B2 (Intermediate to Upper-Intermediate) – Gain fluency and accuracy.
  • C1-C2 (Advanced to Proficiency) – Speak English at a near-native level.
Instead of passive learning, students complete real-world tasks like:

  • Writing emails, CVs, and essays.
  • Giving presentations and participating in discussions.
  • Taking part in debates and problem-solving activities.

Language learning is about more than just words—it’s about culture! We integrate British culture, history, and traditions into our lessons to help students understand real-life English in context.

  • Field Trips & Guided City Tours – Explore historical and modern London.
  • Themed Lessons – Learn English through music, movies, and local events.
  • Guest Speakers & Workshops – Hear from professionals and native speakers.
