Taking advantage of your time in London

When you come to London as a student, it’s easy to focus on only coming to classes. Did you know there are so many ways to have a fantastic time in the city while improving your English at the same time?

One of our favourite things to do is to visit the museums, there are so many museums in London and many of them are free. In this post we’re going to tell you about one of the less famous museums, it’s called The Museum of London.[/vc_column]]What can I see there?

The museum tells the story of London from the beginning to the future. You can learn about the area of London before the city was born and explore all the important moments of London’s history. There are dramatic displays, audio and video displays, and re-creations of many key parts of London’s history.

Our favourite part is the “Victorian Walk” where you can visit a typical London street from the 1800s and see the shops from that time period.

The museum also has regular free tours which is an excellent way to improve your listening skills and learn more about the city’s rich history.

How do I get there?

There are two stations near the museum. You can go to Barbican Station (Circle and District lines) or St Paul’s Station (Central line). It takes about 25-30 minutes to travel to the museum from Malvern House.
